Increase awareness about the newly-launched Marriott Hotels programs with GoPro and drive online conversation surrounding the #VIAJEGENIAL Campaign.
LINKS created a blogger competition on behalf of Marriott Hotels and in partnership with Xcaret Parks, ten social media rockstars were invited to Cancun to participate in a series of challenges that tested their ability to capture the best moments of a Marriott Hotel vacation using the GoPro Hero4 Camera. There were three finalists selected based on their overall performance in the challenges and the quality of their daily social media posts, and one grand winner based on their overall recap of their experience.
This initiative generated organic interactive content that increased exposure and brand awareness amongst the Gen Y followers of the participating bloggers. Over 2,000 conversations about Marriott-GoPro program. Over 3,000 #VIAJEGENIAL mentions in four days. 1,300 new followers on Marriott Hotels social media accounts. Over 2M interactions with the online posts generated from this initiative. Reach over 13M internet users.
