In an effort to drive communications from a B2B & B2C perspective and subsequently generate new opportunities for visitation to the Cayman Islands from key Latin American markets (Argentina & Brazil), LINKS WorldGroup activated a Travel Agencies Program (“TAP”) aimed to identify key travel operators in each market and subsequently create relationships to introduce the destination, communicate the destination’s unique aspects and features and to increase the overall destination awareness and knowledge of these key stakeholders.
Engage tour operators (wholesalers) and travel agencies (retailer) through the creation of new channels of communication to connect with the Cayman Islands from a sales perspective.
A total of 149 trade meetings and encounteers were secured through the agency in both key markets throughout 2016.
Valuable product opportunities (travel packages) on B2B and B2C segment were created by visited companies in both markets.
Travelers from both markets visiting Cayman Islands increased during Q1 2017 (year-over-year).
