As part of its mission to inspire humanity, JetBlue and Autism Speaks celebrated the first Blue Horizons for Autism event on May 17 in the JetBlue terminal at the Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport. Over 125 individuals – children and their families from the CEIP Academy, representatives from Aerostar Holdings and Autism Speaks as well as JetBlue crewmembers and volunteers – formed part of this special experience that provides families and individuals affected by autism with the opportunity to navigate through the flight experience in a realistic, calm and controlled environment, surrounded by other families from the autism community.
LINKS WorldGroup invited (3) top tier local outlets to participate in the Blue Horizons for Autism SJU event. Additionally, LINKS provided on-site support for the JetBlue San Juan team as well as served as the principal contact and information facilitator for the invited media. A briefing session took place, during which LINKS facilitated the press release as well as discussed the key messages of the Blue Horizons for Autism initiative. The media executed interviews with select JetBlue crewmembers, Autism Speaks representatives as well as some of the children and family members from the CEIP Academy.
